Finnish Artificial Intelligence Society (FAIS), founded in 1986, represents the field of AI internationally as the official member society of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) in Finland. FAIS supports and promotes the advancement of public knowledge, education, research and applications of AI in Finland.
FAIS invites AI researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts at large in Finland to join the society as members. All members of FAIS are automatically members of EurAI. For information on how join FAIS, see here.
FAIS is organizing the scientific program of AI Day 2021, the main annual event highlighting forefront Finnish AI research and its applications, taking place November 4 online. This year AI Day 2021 is part of the Reboot with AI event. Registration to the event will be free-of-charge.
A key aim of the scientific program is to provide a thorough overview of the various AI research directions currently pursued in Finland. To this end, we encourage submissions presenting recent research results and innovative applications of all areas of AI. The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2021.
For more details and instructions on how to submit, see the AI Day 2021 Call for Scientific Presentations, available in online as well as in ASCII text. We also invite you to distribute the call for papers (in any format) among AI researchers at large in Finland.
Following the Spring 2021 General Assembly, the new rules of FAIS have been officially approved. The new official rules are available here (in Finnish).
